A Day in the Life of...
This week I finally got around to taking a few pictures at 'work' so that you all can see a little bit of what my work actually looks like instead of just reading about it from time to time. Mind you, this is just one of my jobs, but it's probably where I spend most of my time and energy.
Lourdes, one of the youngest in my youth group, is daughter to a deaf mother and as far as I know doesn't know her dad (or it's also fairly likely that he died when she was still a baby).
Some of the kids in my youth group working in the classroom where I work with my youth group two days a week and teach computer classes one day a week. (Jonathan, DarĂo, Juan Carlos, and Juan Pablo)
My counterpart, Jimena, who comes to Licto about once a week, hugging Lourdes.

More of the kids in my youth group. (Hugo, Jefferson, Daniel, and Segundo)
View of the schoolyard and the back of the church. For as poor as the school is and as crusty as the classrooms are, this patio, the church, and the mountains in the background make for pretty scenery.
The front part of the church, as viewed from my classroom.
The youngest (and most hyperactive) of my youth group, Jonathan, giving Killu a hug.
So, one night while I was cooking, Killu decided to dig a hole in the yard. It just so happens that it had been raining all day. I guess maybe he wanted to know what it felt like to be a chocolate lab.
Another view of chocolate lab Killu.
Totally unrelated, I found this picture online that a friend posted from a youth group trip back in 1999 or so. The scary part is how little I've changed.
Well, that's all for now, hope it'll tide you over until the next time I have something interesting to post.
